How many lumens do I need for garage lights?

This is a frequently asked question because you want and need to have good lighting for your garage, even if you only use it to store things or repair your car.
We recommend different power levels according to the ceiling height of your shop or building:
- 7 to 13 feet: 100 to 110 watt
- 14 to 17 feet: 150 to 160 watt
- 18 to 20 feet: 200 to 220 watt
- 21 feet or more: 250 to 320 watt
You can use the light, power, and amount of lumens you want, but be aware that using higher power could affect or hurt people’s eyes.
