The Final Test
For Those Industrial Style Lights

If you have a bunch of LED lights that you want to dim and they are hooked up all to the same circuit in order to do it properly, you need a switch like this and a compatible light fixture. This switch looks pretty trendy and fits nicely into a wall. Plate has the same rocker style, but somehow it looks different than everything else. I think I'll attribute that to the borderless design. It's got a little bit of junk in the trunk in it. Can make fitting this switch into a electrical box somewhat difficult

Commercial Grade Dimmer for Multiple Home Uses

This dimmer works well both in controlling the high bay LED lights in my workshop as well as LED light fixtures in my house. This type of dimmer is normally found in commercial or manufacturing applications in which high-powered LED lights require dimming. It uses a 0-10V dimmer technology which is commonly used for controlling the brightness of lighting fixtures, particularly fluorescent lights, and LED lights. The "0-10V" refers to the control signal voltage range that is used to adjust the light output. (I am not an electrician but have been learning more about dimming LEDs after several years of frustration with flickering LEDS. It's important to note that when using 0-10V dimming with LEDs, you should ensure that both the LED fixtures and the dimmer, such as this one is, are compatible. Some LED fixtures may require specific drivers or controllers to work effectively with 0-10V dimmers. This dimmer has brightness thresholds that can be set and can be wired with or without a secondary power supply.I found the construction and operation of the switch to be very good and the ones I have are working very well. I like the additional features setting the thresholds for brightness. I will also say that there are option on installing this dimmer that I do not fully understand but it does not affect the uses I need.To share what I have learned about why regular dimmers switches rarely work with newer LED lighting: Incandescent bulbs are resistant loads, and dimmer switches are designed to work with this resistance-based technology. LEDs, on the other hand, use electronic components like drivers to control light output. Many regular dimmer switches are not designed to handle these electronic components, leading to compatibility issues. In fact, some dimmer switches have minimum load requirements, meaning they may need a certain amount of power to function properly. LED bulbs typically have lower wattage compared to incandescent bulbs, and if the total load is below the dimmer switch's minimum requirement, it may not work correctly or flicker. These work extremely well for and will purchase more as needed

Works Great

What's not to like, great value for a modern LED dimmer Switch, comes color coded with pre stripped wires and wire nuts, I only used the slide dimmer portion for my install since the Lights themselves already had power and only need a 0-10V dimmer, works good for any installation, is standard electrical switch box sized, and should meet all local codes. Enjoy!

Doesn't work in standard home applications

It's not clear that this dimmer requires a separate ballast/driver unit. It's not a stand alone replacement switch for most home applications. I didn't realize that when I got it, and I feel like it's not very clear on the description. I wasn't able to install it. Otherwise it seems well made.

led Dimmable switch great value

Great brightness adjustment. Wired up nicely with no trouble, I did single pole. I love the dimmer slide design along the bottom instead of down the side. Makes for less issues when slapping the switch on or off, the slider is more out of the way and less likely to be adjusted by accident. Great working dimmer switch! great for you dimming of lights needs i give this product an A+

nifty narrow

This is narrow in a notiable way. It feels high quality though. I find it useful that you can custom set the dimmer sensitivity. This is versatile as well allowing for different wiring setups. I like this and feels comfortable installing it myself. The bottomline is that most peoplewill enjoy this product and many such as myself will be able to install it all ok.

Good low voltage dimmer

I grabbed this dimmer switch to control some overhead low voltage workshop lighting. It's expensive, but if that's what you need then there aren't too many choices. The build quality is good, and it's worked perfectly.

10 amp rated

Great dimmer for the money. I had an issue installing it in my 20 amp wiring. Dimmer suitable for 15 amp breaker/wire. Dimmer transition is smooth. Please read carefully compatibility chart. Most suitable for LED lights. 4 stars

Make sure this what you need. It's a low voltage dimmer, not a switch for your basic screw in bulbs.

I bought this thinking it was a normal dimmer for everyday lights. However, its for low voltage LEDs. I don't have the right setup to try it but it comes with decent instructions for different setups. It's stamped with the UL Listed label. It's a bit slimmer and taller than other paddle switches you find for regular lights. It has a convenient wheel adjustment to set how low or high it can dim, thus making it compatible with a wide range of lights.

Works well

I installed the product to replace a dimmer switch in my bathroom which had failed. The product worked well and correctly right out of the box. The instruction manual provided was easy to understand. I was satisfied with the product and would definitely recommend to friends and family.

I like that the dimmer switch can be calibrated.

I ordered the “JC-LGL 0-10V LED Dimmer Switch, Low Voltage Dimmer Switch for Dimmable LED Lights, UL Listed” to review and to control some LED panel lights. I like that the switch is the Decora style. I like that the dimmer switch can be calibrated. I like the sturdiness of the switch. I am a bit disappointed with the wiring instructions as I feel they could be clearer. 4 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️– Average to Above Average – At least what you would expect based on the Product Page. Nicely featured switch

The wiring diagram it comes with is a little confusing - depending on your application of just dimming, on/off or 3 way operation. You'll need to check the schematic for the fixture you are controlling as well for best results.I used this in my garage to control a (also purchased from Amazon: HYPERLITE 100W LED Canopy Light,0-10V Dimmable) bay light. At full power the bay light was incredibly intense, which is good when you'r working, but not needing full noon solstice white light 100% of the time and to save some energy I wired in this switch in and it works beautifully with no flicker bringing the intensity of the 100W bay light down, similar to the light I was getting before from my 4 bay florescent fixture.Works brilliantly, pun intended. The switch came in a small cardboard box with wiring instructions and wire nuts. It was along with some other Amazon items but packaged as you would find in your local big box or hardware.

Works well, great value...

Gotta say I'm impressed with this LED Dimmer Switch. Installation was straightforward, and it offers reliable performance with a smooth dimming range of LED lighting from 5% to 100%. It's a great choice for anyone looking to enhance their LED lighting with precise control over brightness levels. The quality, at this price point, earns my 5 star rating.

Good Quality ~ Good Operation ~ Good Value ...

When found I opted for it to dim a 120w wall pak mounted on an out building. The brightness was a lil over the top for what was needed. This device did the trick in bringing that down to where it appears much better - only the 'side' slider would b a lill more out of the way located 'below' the switch but it's a minor not a flaw - once set it's not going to b slid around much anyways. All deco covers or as in my case (metal big slot cover on metal work box) wll fit it. The scenario here had been only 'single pole' (one point of contact switch) thou nice it can also control a 3-way circuit if so desired. The wiring setups not all that difficult and only a tad diiferent than a reg 120v household dimmer. This type only operates what it's running a bit smoother and safer which is what's needed when it comes to higher wattage led's. The item serves its purpose well therefore can highly recommend this product.

Works great with my new high-bay lighting

I purchased this switch to tame down the ultra bright high-bay lights I purchased. Once adjusted this dimmer works well. It seems to have a smooth operation to me. I'm not sure how well it would work under commercial conditions, but works well for my needs.

I dont understand

This dimmer switch didn't seem to be anything unusual when I ordered it. I thought I would be quick and easy to switch it out with my current ugly one. When it arrived I was surprised to see extra wire colors. It does come with a wiring diagram, but I don't understand it, so I was unable to install it.

Frequently asked questions

  • Will this dimmer work with my existing LED fixtures?

If the fixture spec sheet says "0-10V dimmable" or "0-10V dim", yes. If it says "triac dimmable" or "leading edge dim" or "ELV dimmable", no — those use a different dimming protocol. All GGJIA commercial fixtures with dimming are 0-10V compatible. Third-party LED fixtures from major commercial brands (Lithonia, Cree, Halco, Philips, Acuity) are typically 0-10V compatible.

  • How many GGJIA high bays can I dim with this switch?

Up to 20 fixtures per dimmer zone, typical. The actual limit depends on the sink current of each driver — the GGJIA drivers sink 1.5 mA at full dim, so a 30 mA dimmer can handle 20 fixtures. For installations of 20+ fixtures, use multiple dimmer zones (one per group of 20) or a centralized 0-10V controller from a BMS vendor.

  • Does this work with motion sensors?

Yes. The 0-10V dimmer accepts external 0-10V control signals from compatible motion sensors. Combine with the GGJIA PIR Motion Sensor for occupancy-based automated dimming (e.g., 100% when motion detected, 10% when room is unoccupied).

  • Does this work as a regular on/off switch?

Yes. The dimmer has a built-in on/off switch at the bottom of the dial range. Turn the dial all the way down for off; rotate up for any brightness from 1% to 100%.

  • Will it work with 277V commercial circuits?

Yes. The dimmer accepts 120-277V AC, covering all standard U.S. single-phase residential and three-phase commercial circuits. Confirm your branch circuit voltage before installation.

  • Can I install this in a residential garage on a 120V circuit?

Yes, but verify your LED fixtures are 0-10V dimmable. Most consumer LED shop lights and bulbs are NOT 0-10V — they use triac (standard) dimming. The GGJIA UFO high bays, linear high bays and selected commercial fixtures are 0-10V; standard shop lights are not.

  • What if my fixture isn't dimming smoothly?

Three common causes: (1) the 0-10V leads are reversed (violet to gray instead of violet to violet) — re-check polarity; (2) the dimmer is at the wrong end of its calibration range — adjust the trim screw on the back; (3) the fixture isn't actually 0-10V compatible — verify the spec sheet says "0-10V dimmable" not "triac dimmable".

  • Can I install this myself?

For permanent installation, NEC requires a licensed electrician. The work involves: (a) mains 120-277V wiring (regulated by NEC), (b) Class 2 low-voltage 0-10V wiring (also regulated), and (c) wall box mounting. Many homeowners hire an electrician for the initial install; subsequent dimmer replacements are simpler.

  • Is this compatible with smart home systems?

Standalone 0-10V dimmers (like this one) are not smart-home connected. For BMS or smart-home integration, use a 0-10V controller with network connectivity (e.g., Lutron RA2, Crestron, Acuity nLight). Those controllers send the 0-10V signal to the fixtures via the same wiring scheme.
