Super bright; strong & versatile housing

I am very pleased with this lamp. Previously I had a bare bulb installed in the garage screwed into an Edison-type receptacle with no lamp shade (see first photo). I was always a bit worried someone might hit the bare bulb with a ladder or long-handled tool or perhaps a bike when hanging it on the ceiling. With this installation that worry is gone, although I suppose a really good whack could damage the housing a bit. Seems very unlikely unless you are hitting it on purpose.I also really like that the housing has threaded ports on two sides to attach conduit. If I ever decide to add additional lighting on this circuit of the garage, it would be easy to wire from this fixture.Even better, this thing is BRIGHT and will cost (at most) less than the old incandescent 100W bulb which preceded the spiral florescent. It's kind of moot since this lamp is on a maximum of maybe 50 hours a year (stemming from the rare times I work on nighttime garage projects).Sorry the photo of the lit fixture is blown out. This thing is so bright it is very difficult to photograph with a cellphone. I might try again with my DSLR.

Good dispersion if mounted on low ceiling

This light is something that you would see at gas stations or under a outside cover. It lights up an area fairly well if it is close in or pointed straight down. It would be great for a carport. It has sufficient light to light up a small garage or storage room but it is not a flood light. Make sure you know where you are putting this and what your expectations are for it. It has the standard three wire hook up with one being a ground. The back plate is universal so it should fit almost any electrical box. The light then clips onto the bracket. Not bad overall for the discernment. I have some brighter high bay lights but they shine brighter in a smaller area unless you mount them really high. With this light you get better dispersion and you don't need to mount it as high.

Great quality super bright LED canopy light with some clever installation hardware

I really like this LED canopy light!Build quality is great - the plastics and aluminum housing all feel solid. The mounting plate looks and feels like galvanized steel and is definitely heavy duty and very strong. The wiring is generous in length and I absolutely love that they've taken the time to tin the tips of the braided wires so they can be mixed with solid wiring inside your junction box.Installation is a snap:-remove the Phillips screw-swing the mounting plate down and out of the way-pry the clip out of the way and completely remove the mounting plate-at your mounting location, fish the junction box wires through the center hole of the mounting plate-loosely install the mounting plate using any of the MYRIAD of holes, slots and patterns they give you-reattach the light to the mounting plate via the clip (the light will hang down towards the floor)-finish your wiring (Marr connectors for the win)-back your excess wire and Marr connectors up through the center hole of the mounting plate-tighten your mounting plate screws completely-swing the light up while backing in the last bit of wire and slide the light onto the 4 mounting tabs-replace the Phillips screw to finish the mounting job-test the light and regret looking directly at itSeriously, my only nitpick is how ridiculously bright these LED lights are. Overall, I'm thrilled to have an ultra-bright power efficient light in my garage now.Recommended!

Wonderfully bright and the perfect addition to my shop!

I'm extremely pleased with this light as it's very bright, but wonderfully defused via the lens, so as not to be overly harsh.I fabricated a mount for this, which allow me to place the light within my shop, suspended by an aluminum bracket precisely over my table saw.It seems to draw very low amperage and the design of the housing offers several mounting options based upon your needs and level of creativity. This is designed for a 3/4 threaded conduit on the top or a 1/2 threaded fixture on the side. I opted for the side mount, as I wanted to suspend the light from rafters. I also wanted to mount the light so as to be easily moved if required.I'm very pleased with this light will probably be purchasing addition units.Would I recommend this light absolutely! I've only had it up for a matter of hours, but the construction seems solid and I have no doubt will last a long time.

GREAT SIZE WIRING TAKES TIME

This is an incredible sized canopy light it has cool lift that is vibrant and sufficient enough to light up an entire room or storage unit whatever the case may be. It takes some time to set up because of the wiring but if you're wire savvy this will be a breeze for you and it's worth the effort setting up because it works very well. It's great quality and the light works amazing!!

Very bright!

I use 4 of these and they light my bay up very well! I have had them up for about 2 months and haven't had any issues whatsoever. They don't draw nearly as much power as my old mercury lamps and there's no warm up. If you are on the fence about upgrading now is the time. They are very easy to mount and wire in. I am not an electrician, but found it very easy to do myself. The hardest part was getting to the ceiling to get a bit warm, but I have not gotten them wet nor will they be getting wet so I can't speak for any kind of waterproofing.Overall, very good quality light can definitely recommend!

What a difference in brightness

I have realized that as I have grown older, I need more light, and this light helps achieve that.- It is suitable for outdoor use, but I use all weatherproof lights in my garage to keep moisture and bugs out.- Well-made aluminum housing with numerous mounting options.- I liked the thought-out mounting bracket that kept the light suspended as you made your electrical connections.- They even soldered the leads to make connections with solid copper more reliable. I still prefer to use my lever nuts for stranded to solid wire connections.- They claim the lens is non-yellowing, and I hope that proves true. Only time will tell.- May be dimmed (dimmer not included)I wouldn't recommend interior use unless you have high garage ceilings. Mine are 12', and it allows the light to spread properly.

outstanding! Well made, well thought out!

someone put some thought into this. I love the bracket for mounting to a standard junction box. Its holes for whatever style your box is, and the light just slides onto it. But wait, there's more! There's a springy clip that it will hang on. so you can hange the light (same idea as on a ceiling fan).I have 2 of them. They're great! Very impressive build quality for the price! But if you don't want to mount on a junction box, that's no problem. The bracket comes off easy, and its ready for your watertight conduit connections.

60 Watt LED Canopy Light

This light is very bright for only using 60 WATTS and yet it is producing 9000LM 5000k Daylight none the less! This is very economical and efficient and is really designed for using in those high bay areas, parking lots, paddocks, warehouses etc, it's perfect!Easy to install either pole mounted or ceiling mounted but, you will have to supply your own hardware of bolts etc. Fortunately this did come with a mounting bracket attached ( see picture ) and installation instructions for further details for mounting the light.Made of die-cast aluminum with a high transmittance PC lens…it solid and durable being waterproof and dustproof! Tested to last 50000 hours and can work at temperatures ranging from -13 to +113 degrees! It is capable of dimming, however, you will need to supply your own appropriate dimmer switch for that function if you wish.Nice bright canopy light with Energy Savings to go with, 5 stars!

A Solid Investment

After trying the G GJIA LED Canopy Light, I feel pretty impressed with its performance. The build quality is solid; it feels heavy-duty with a robust aluminum housing that suggests durability. Installation was straightforward, especially with the multiple mounting options available. I appreciated the thoughtful design, like the tinned wiring tips that make connecting it a breeze. This light is incredibly bright—6000 lumens bright! It transformed my garage from dim and dreary to brilliantly illuminated, making it easy to see everything. The color temperature at 5000K provides a crisp, white light that's easy on the eyes, though I did find it a bit too intense at times, so I may install a dimmer. It's also waterproof, which gives me confidence in its longevity. In short, if you need a bright, durable light for any space, this canopy light is a fantastic option. I'd definitely recommend it!

Great for a Garage, Shed or other "Utility" purpose

It won't win any awards for aesthetics but is your looking for a great light that is super bright and easy to install this is for you!.9000LM may be a bit of an exaggeration but it definitely is bright, installation is easy and straight forward but I recommend installing it someplace with a higher ceiling as it can cover a larger area without it becoming blinding.
