Easy to work with, be sure not to lose the one small set screw.

Have installed about 60 of these so far none with issues everything has been flawless and reliable

Super bright; strong & versatile housing

I am very pleased with this lamp. Previously I had a bare bulb installed in the garage screwed into an Edison-type receptacle with no lamp shade (see first photo). I was always a bit worried someone might hit the bare bulb with a ladder or long-handled tool or perhaps a bike when hanging it on the ceiling. With this installation that worry is gone, although I suppose a really good whack could damage the housing a bit. Seems very unlikely unless you are hitting it on purpose.I also really like that the housing has threaded ports on two sides to attach conduit. If I ever decide to add additional lighting on this circuit of the garage, it would be easy to wire from this fixture.Even better, this thing is BRIGHT and will cost (at most) less than the old incandescent 100W bulb which preceded the spiral florescent. It's kind of moot since this lamp is on a maximum of maybe 50 hours a year (stemming from the rare times I work on nighttime garage projects).Sorry the photo of the lit fixture is blown out. This thing is so bright it is very difficult to photograph with a cellphone. I might try again with my DSLR.

Great quality super bright LED canopy light with some clever installation hardware

I really like this LED canopy light!Build quality is great - the plastics and aluminum housing all feel solid. The mounting plate looks and feels like galvanized steel and is definitely heavy duty and very strong. The wiring is generous in length and I absolutely love that they've taken the time to tin the tips of the braided wires so they can be mixed with solid wiring inside your junction box.Installation is a snap:-remove the Phillips screw-swing the mounting plate down and out of the way-pry the clip out of the way and completely remove the mounting plate-at your mounting location, fish the junction box wires through the center hole of the mounting plate-loosely install the mounting plate using any of the MYRIAD of holes, slots and patterns they give you-reattach the light to the mounting plate via the clip (the light will hang down towards the floor)-finish your wiring (Marr connectors for the win)-back your excess wire and Marr connectors up through the center hole of the mounting plate-tighten your mounting plate screws completely-swing the light up while backing in the last bit of wire and slide the light onto the 4 mounting tabs-replace the Phillips screw to finish the mounting job-test the light and regret looking directly at itSeriously, my only nitpick is how ridiculously bright these LED lights are. Overall, I'm thrilled to have an ultra-bright power efficient light in my garage now.Recommended!

Good dispersion if mounted on low ceiling

This light is something that you would see at gas stations or under a outside cover. It lights up an area fairly well if it is close in or pointed straight down. It would be great for a carport. It has sufficient light to light up a small garage or storage room but it is not a flood light. Make sure you know where you are putting this and what your expectations are for it. It has the standard three wire hook up with one being a ground. The back plate is universal so it should fit almost any electrical box. The light then clips onto the bracket. Not bad overall for the discernment. I have some brighter high bay lights but they shine brighter in a smaller area unless you mount them really high. With this light you get better dispersion and you don't need to mount it as high.

Wonderfully bright and the perfect addition to my shop!

I'm extremely pleased with this light as it's very bright, but wonderfully defused via the lens, so as not to be overly harsh.I fabricated a mount for this, which allow me to place the light within my shop, suspended by an aluminum bracket precisely over my table saw.It seems to draw very low amperage and the design of the housing offers several mounting options based upon your needs and level of creativity. This is designed for a 3/4 threaded conduit on the top or a 1/2 threaded fixture on the side. I opted for the side mount, as I wanted to suspend the light from rafters. I also wanted to mount the light so as to be easily moved if required.I'm very pleased with this light will probably be purchasing addition units.Would I recommend this light absolutely! I've only had it up for a matter of hours, but the construction seems solid and I have no doubt will last a long time.
